breaking news! and this weekend's line up

First of all, welcome to the more than two thousand people who found and became fans of the Beachcomber on Facebook! We put up the page two weeks ago and have been blown away by the response. If you haven't seen the page yet, come on by and take a look. We especially like all the pictures you folks have posted, and the over-the-top responses to upcoming shows. When we announced the Frank Black show (July 20) and said "cue rabid screaming now," we were kind of kidding. (About the screaming. We were totally serious about Frank Black.)

Some other shows that have caused rabid screaming are: John Brown's Body (June 26), The Lemonheads (July 2), Kathleen Edwards (July 16), Barrington Levy (July 17), King Yellowman and the Sagittarius Band (July 28), Donavon Frankenreiter (July 31), The Wailers (August 19) and Amy Ray Band (of Indigo Girls, August 22). Tickets for these shows and several others are on sale now. Links are at the end of this email, or go to the calender and click on the links there: http://www.thebeachcomber.com/calendar/ More shows are added all the time, so check back often!

Did you get your free season pass last week? No? You have one more chance this Friday. Come to Reggae night with DJ Bud E Green and get a free pass with your paid admission ($10). If you did get your season pass last week, then Reggae Night is free baby free.

We'll be serving lunch and dinner all weekend, starting at 11:30am Saturday. We will not let you go hungry. You'll be needing your strength for this long and glorious summer!

At 9pm Saturday, come on back for The Void Union and Roots Down Below. Two bands for $8. Check them out here: http://www.myspace.com/thevoidunion and here: http://www.myspace.com/rootsdownbelow

On Sunday when you come see the Incredible Casuals (4pm, $10), you may look up on stage and say to yourself, "hey, that's the guy on the cover of Provincetown Magazine!" And you'd be right. "What Frank Sinatra is to New York City, what Bruce Springsteen is to New Jersey, what Elvis Presley is to Memphis, Chandler Travis is to Cape Cod," says writer Daniel McDermott. Pick up a copy or read it here: http://www.provincetownmagazine.net/pageflip.html Our test kitchens noticed that when they attempted to read the article online at home it took a moment to come up in glorious sharpness. Your results may vary. Be patient.
